Offering opportunities for as many young people as possible to experience the adventure of a lifetime is central to everything we do at Poacher International Jamboree. While many are gearing up for the full week-long event, we haven't forgotten about our next generation of "Poacherians"!
Our Squirrels, Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, and Cubs are the future of our event. These are the members who will be leading the way at the next Poacher after 2026, and we want to give them a taste of the magic now.
Junior Poacher 2026 is officially opening its gates to members aged 4-10 from Lincolnshire Scouts, Girlguiding Lincolnshire North, Girlguiding Lincolnshire South, and Humberside Scouts (within the Lincolnshire county). We have designed a tailored, jam-packed program of adventurous and creative activities specifically for this age group.
When is it happening? Junior Poacher takes place over four days:
Monday 3rd August 2026
Tuesday 4th August 2026
Wednesday 5th August 2026
Thursday 6th August 2026
The day runs from 09:00 to 17:30, including morning and afternoon activity sessions and some special lunchtime entertainment in the Main Arena!
How to book Bookings for Junior Poacher officially opened here. We have a maximum of 600 participant places available each day, and these are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you haven’t secured your spots yet, we recommend moving quickly, as some days are filling out quickly!
The cost is £25 for participants and £5 for leaders, which covers access to the site and all Junior Poacher activities.
A few handy tips for Group Leaders:
One Booking per Group: If you are bringing multiple sections (e.g., Beavers and Cubs), please book them all together under one booking.
Ratios: Please ensure you are adhering to the relevant Girlguiding or Scouting ratios for your specific group.
Payment: To secure your booking, full payment must be made via BACS within 21 days of your initial registration.
Details: You’ll need to provide names and dates of birth for all participants, leaders, and young leaders by Friday 30th January 2026.
We can’t wait to see the youngest members of our Scouting and Girlguiding family exploring the showground and starting their own Poacher journey. If you have any questions about the booking process or the programme, please check out our Junior Poacher FAQs or drop us an email at bookings@poacher.org.uk.
Rachel
Rachel only found out about Poacher in 2015, as she is not from Lincolnshire but some of her family attended the first Poacher in 1977! She is Joint Head of Communications for Poacher 2026 and is now sad that the colours are no longer orange, as she loves and has a lot of orange merch!
