As a Health & Safety Team Member, you’ll be part of the team on the ground helping to keep Poacher 2026 safe, welcoming, and well-organised for everyone involved. Working under the guidance of the Health & Safety Team Leader, you’ll support inspections, promote safe working practices and helping to ensure risks are identified early and managed effectively.
From assisting with routine safety inspections, spotting hazards and near-misses, and supporting corrective actions, to promoting a positive safety culture among volunteers and helping respond to incidents, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining a safe event environment. You’ll also help keep safety records up to date, ensuring key information is accurately logged and accessible.
This role is ideal for those with some Health & Safety experience or knowledge who are, observant, reliable, and proactive. So, if your passionate about keeping people safe, this could be the perfect role for you! 🦺👀🤝

🧭 Requirements:
Applicants must be (or become) adult members of The Scout Association and/or Girlguiding, including completion of:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Mandatory ongoing learning: Safety, Safeguarding, First Aid, and Data Protection
- Have previous H&S Experience or Knowledge.
