Social Media Team Leader

Be part of bringing the adventure of a lifetime to over 5,500 Scouting and Girlguiding members, by volunteering to be part of the Poacher 2026 staff team. We are looking for individuals who are willing to support with the planning and lead up to the event, along with during the actual week of Poacher 2026: 1st – 8th August 2026.

We want the whole world to hear about Poacher 2026 and it is your job to make sure the word gets out on our social media channels. You will lead a team to produce and distribute high quality content.

  • Before the event, work with the Heads of Communication to market the event.
  • Develop a social media plan that reflects our brand.
  • During the event, you will work with platform leaders (TikTok and Meta (Facebook/Instagram)) to curate platform-focused content.
  • Lead and mentor members of the Social Media Team.
  • Oversee content production to ensure it meets high standards.
  • Work with other teams to coordinate content.

Applicants must be or become adult members of The Scout Association and/or Guide Association, including completion of DBS check and complete mandatory ongoing learning including Safety, Safeguarding, First Aid and Data Protection.
